Financial Assistance

Financial Aid Information for 2019-2020 School Year Coming Soon

Sources of Assistance

  • St. Catherine of Siena Academy (SCA) will award assistance based on financial need as determined by the FACTS Management Grant and Aid Assessment.
  • Scholarships are available.  Visit the scholarship page for details and requirements.
  • The Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) provides assistance independent of St. Catherine assistance.

Requirements and Process

  • Must show need.
  • A registered student may apply for aid once enrollment requirements are satisfied.
  • An application is required each year to be considered for aid for that year.  Receiving an award in a previous year is not a guarantee of an award for the current year.
  • AOD assistance requires that the applying family be active parishioners in a Catholic parish within the Archdiocese of Detroit.
  • All applications for aid (SCA and AOD) are submitted online with FACTS on the FACTS’ SCA login page.  The same family application can be used for both SCA and AOD financial aid.  The online form will be available on February 1, 2018 for completion.  Please note that there is an application fee ($30) due to FACTS at the time of submission.
    • When creating your application in FACTS, you must check the box to be considered for AOD assistance. Your information will then be forwarded to the AOD for review and determination.  The family and St. Catherine will be notified of award amount.
  • Applications must be completed in FACTS by April 30, 2018. Pastor Signature Sheet MUST be submitted by April 15 in order for them to be processed by the April 30 deadline.
  • Families will be notified of aid awarded by letter at the end of May.
  • Apply now by clicking this link:  FACTS Login

IMPORTANT:  If you are applying for the additional assistance from the AOD, you will need to print and review the two documents below.

The AOD Parent Information Letter must be read completely to ensure you understand the AOD program and the timeline for due dates.

The AOD Pastor Signature Sheet is absolutely necessary in order to complete your application.

“Another thing I enjoyed about the school was the athletics. I played four different sports at this school and I had the same experience with all of them. The coaches really cared about me, not just how well I was performing and I was treated respectfully on and off the court. Further more, I felt that I was really being pushed physically and mentally during practice which I value in any activity.”

Alumna

“This school is not only college prep, it is life prep. I know that my daughter is being educated to go out and make a positive difference in the world. She will graduate with the confidence and courage to lead wherever she goes in life. I love the principal, the teachers, and the families. It is such a blessing to be a part of the SCA Family. I know the friends my daughter has made will be her sisters for life.”

SCA Parent

“This place (SCA) is about the best Catholic high school you can go to, in my opinion. The whole school isn’t just a school, but a family where everybody knows everybody. It’s a small enough school for that to be possible-and it’s really awesome! What makes SCA different is the people that make up the SCA family. There are no bullies and no one is mean to you. Everybody looks out for you and your teachers become friends….This place is really close to my heart.”

Alumna, Class of '12

“I LOVE this school. The teachers are excellent. Because the students are so friendly, it’s easy to fit in and make friends even if you have had a tough time at other schools. There is virtually no bullying and it is a very friendly, positive environment. Highly recommended.”

Alumna, Class of '17

“Karen Ervin is a remarkable principal! She is a good administrator, but even more importantly, she is an excellent role model for the students. She is strong, confident, and a woman of tremendous virtue. She is unafraid and doing everything in her power to raise strong, Catholic women who will go out and ‘set the world ablaze’!”

SCA Parent

“This school has a very strong faith atmosphere! The school is fairly new, but is starting to build a name for itself both spiritually and academically. The faculty and staff rock!”

Student, Class of '19

“[SCA] builds upon your faith and strengthen you academically throughout the four years in high school so that you are more than ready when you move on to college.”

“[Teachers] care about the success of each student. They come early to help students and stay after school if necessary. They are a super dedicated faculty.”

SCA Parent

“An excellent community for families that want to stay involved! Everyone has a different opinion and all students, staff, and faculty are respectful of it. I have never been in an environment that was so inviting and welcoming. It is easy to find a home in this school because the staff genuinely care about you and want you to succeed. It really is a beautiful place and a great experience. I am very lucky to have gone through high school there.”
